I have always been a competitor in everything that I undertake and it’s the same within the business world of Real Estate. I’m a family man and a home owner and I understand the importance of a good foundation.
My Dad worked for Elders in Tailem Bend where I was born and then in 1973 we moved to Christies Beach. We moved as Dad was managing the Elders Real Estate Office at Morphett Vale selling in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide.
I attended the Kindy at Port Noarlunga and then started primary school at Christies Beach. I was a keen footballer captaining the school footy team. I then went on to Christies High School.
When I was 17 in 1987 I was chosen to represent Australia in the world Para Games competing in New York City USA. I was a keen Runner, High Jumper, Javelin Thrower pretty much entered as much as I could. In 1988 I represented Australia at the Seoul Para Olympics where I won a Gold Medal and broke a world record with the 4x100m relay team.
I have also played senior football with the Christies Beach, Port Noarlunga and Kangarilla Football Clubs retiring from footy in 2001.
I started my career in Real Estate in 2006. I thought Dad did I’d give it a go. I applied to do the Property Management course to work my way into the industry. Once I completed this I then had to find a position. I door knocked all the real estate agents looking for a go in property management. Most said they had no positions but I persisted and on my first day of looking was asked if I would try sales with Elders Real Estate. That persistence paid off as I look back to 2006 where it all started.
Before joining real estate I worked in the South Australian Government in several positions including 10 years with the Woods and Forest Department (PIRSA) and 10 years in The Police Department as a public servant.
I consider myself a genuine straight shooter in the industry who tells it like it is. I have a solid country background and communicate well with all levels of society. Thanks for reading this and hopefully will see you soon.
